Instances in which physicians failed to recommend a biopsy or referral for cancerous lesions were reduced more than 6 fold when physicians used eDerm to evaluate lesions. Without using eDerm, physicians failed to perform a biopsy or refer patients for 31 of 140 lesions (22.1%). Using eDerm, they failed to perform a biopsy or refer patients for only 5 of 140 lesions (3.6%).

90% of participants found eDerm easy to use and 75% felt it would be helpful in their clinical practice.
